PM:FE Dev Blog #2 Balancing Changes

Hi guys, Unkown7 here with a brand new dev blog. This time I'll be going over the Balance Changes coming to Patch 1.2, also as a Disclaimer, anything you see can be in subject to change at some point.


So let's start off with the Sonic Characters. As you know in PM:FE we have treated the Sonic Characters well to be as balanced as possible. Especially with Sonic. But sometimes too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. One of the most good things about Sonic was his powerful Up Smash; In, 1.2 Up Smash has more endlag and less knockback and power.

Another constant complaint, was Sonic's Smash 2 Down Air, as it was often difficult to control as it would mostly stop all momentum; Well, now in 1.2 we've fixed it.


Now Tails, the biggest balance complaint in the current ssf2 community is how good Tails is. As you know Tails got hit with nothing but nerfs in PM:FE, well there were things we left behind.

One thing, was the fact how Tails' Up Smash was weird horizontal disjoint a little back in 1.1. But, In 1.2 we've managed to fix that problem to make his Up Smash more fair.

                                     Also, you should notice it's a bit weaker in kill power
                                 

Tails' Hover or Glide whichever you want to call it :) Allowed him to camp easily, making it a pain to fight against as he has one of the best vertical distances in the game.

                          Now Tails no longer has his hover ability, making it harder for camping


Now, Puff we understand how annoying it was to get rest...and how free it was too. But now we've nerfed rest so now it only OHKO's when near the ledge.

                                             Hey, at least it's not Smash 64 Rest :)

    But enough with those sad boring nerfs. HOW ABOUT WE GET INTO SOME BUFFS :)

Let's get on with Luigi, with Luigi being one of the worst characters (somehow) in PM:FE 1.1,We've    buffed Luigi to make him have a "fair" chance with top tiers.


           Luigi gains more kill power on Back Air and Back Throw for more kills and finishers

Sheik although already being good in SSF2, we thought she could have more potential like in Melee. So now, Sheik has a bit more buffs in her tool kit that used to set her back.

     She now has a tiny bit more kill power on Back Air, along with hitbox fixes and adjustments



Now Finally, Peach, some of you guys may of noticed by the 1.2 Livestream, but incase you didn't know, Peach got some buffs that also helped her tool kit.

Peach's Framedata for some moves has been changed to be less laggy, and she has more combos in her kit now.
